Electrical/Control Systems Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service calls Periodic instrument calibration
  • Temperature uniformity surveys
  • System accuracy tests
  • Emergency repairs and replacements
  • Manage service equipment
  • Ensure test equipment is calibrated
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Alert upper management to any issues
  • Keep up with current versions of common specifications used in service
  • Train and mentor service technicians on equipment and procedures as necessary
  • Provide assistance to service technicians
  • Champion high team standards
  • Project support Installation and startup of equipment including electrical panels, gas trains and associated controls
  • Training of customers on new equipment
  • Engineering and service support
  • Control panel testing
  • Sales support Estimate time needed to complete jobs
  • Assist sales team in driving service account growth
  • Work with sales to quote service calls
  • Help sales demonstrate products to customers
  • General Ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations
  • Ensure all work is done in a safe manner
  • Ensure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reported
  • Fill in job tickets and log completion of work within the project/service software application
  • Attend company meetings as required
  • Ensure continual training through available channels
  • Manage time effectively through training, maintenance, etc. when schedule is open
