SUMMARY

This position is to test chillers manufactured on-site

The test engineer will work with manufacturing to do final acceptance testing and various engineering testing prior to shipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete acceptance and Design Verification testing, burn-in and temperature as per testing procedures and guidance from Engineering.

Complete all necessary Acceptance Test Forms.

Collect Data Manually and Electronically using Data Acquisition Equipment and create charts and tables using Excel and other software

Detailed troubleshooting of new Production units

Completion of all internal travelers and work order information to document complete test process

Review all engineering and manufacturing documentation for complete accuracy of unit completion

Follow company's inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.

Performs Acceptance Test Procedure/Plan (ATP). Verifies apparatus and equipment for conformance to electrical, mechanical and other requirements using various kinds of electrical and mechanical test equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field -OR- no degree with 5 years of experience in HVAC & Data Plotting/Analysis

Excellent Computer skills

Good teamwork and can work with minimum supervision

Highly analytical and very keen on details

Effective oral and written communication skills

Steel Toe Boots

Equipment skills - Data Acquisition Devices, Amp Clamp, Multimeter, TC Reader

Universal Refrigeration Technician - EPA 608

PREFERRED (but not required) EXPERIENCE

Experience with testing machinery or equipment(2 Years)

Electrical troubleshooting skills(2 Years)

Hands on work with pumping systems or similar(2 Years)

Data acquisition equipment(2 Years)
