Shipper/receiver (Forklift)

The Tempur Sealy manufacturing site in Trinity, NC is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver. The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for a variety of duties to support receiving product and warehouse storage.

JOB DUTIES:

• Using forklift, unloads in-coming shipments off of trailers
• Receives all incoming goods
• Verifies bills of lading, inspects for damage and directs distribution to designated storage area
• Follow all safety guidelines, able to operate forklift in a safe, efficient manner
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Maintains and cleans assigned work area

Basic Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of Forklift experience
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret documents, including but not limited to safety rules, procedures manual and policy manual.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Department Supervisor, Lead, Coworkers and other personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency.
• Able to read and follow a written set of procedures.
