PCG is looking for talented students to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program at our Corporate Headquarters in Lenexa, KS! This is a full-time paid internship supporting our Internal Audit Department during the summer of 2026.
Applicants for the Summer program should be able to commit to a 10-week internship, Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
This role is responsible for assisting with the following:
- Work under the direction of other internal audit staff on audit planning activities as well as execution of operational and financial audits of PCI's branch operations
- Evaluate branch compliance with established company policies and operating procedures
- Evaluate projects for compliance with state sales and use tax regulations
- Consult with employees and leaders at various levels within the organization to assess business metrics, improve operational effectiveness, compliance, and overall profitability of branch operations
- Perform audit testing and prepare adequate work paper documentation to support conclusions
- Assist in completing internal control questionnaires and related documentation
- Contribute to preparation of written internal audit reports to be distributed to management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors
- Represent the PCG Corporate Office and Internal Audit Department professionally when interacting with branch personnel

- Must be in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in audit, accounting, business, or a related field during the summer of 2026
- Able to travel to various Performance Contracting branch locations to conduct audit fieldwork, as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and/or Teams
- Dedicated to delivering a quality work product that is prepared with great accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with peers and colleagues
- Local to the KC Metro area
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI preferred
