Job Description


PCG is looking for talented students to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program at our Corporate Headquarters in Lenexa, KS! This is a full-time paid internship supporting our Human Resources Department during the summer of 2026.


Applicants for the Summer program should be able to commit to a 10-week internship, Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.


This role is responsible for assisting with the following:



  • Steps in the recruiting and hiring process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, and making job offers.
  • The importance of employment law and compliance, especially regarding employment eligibility, confidentiality, proper maintenance of employee files, and forms management.
  • The significance of employment drug testing and an ongoing substance abuse prevention program.
  • The interrelationship of HR and Payroll in the areas of new employee paperwork, payroll issues related to onboarding and termination, and report generation.
  • Maintaining data integrity through audits and administrative management of HR Systems such as the Human Capital Management system, Applicant Tracking System, employee file management systems, etc.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders in various Human Resources roles such as HR Business Partner, HR Systems Analyst, Employment Specialist, Recruiter, HR Administrator, and/or Substance Abuse Program Coordinator.
  • Management and administration of an employee benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plans, and initiatives promoting employee well-being.

Basic Requirements



  • Must be in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business, Business Administration, or similar during the summer of 2026
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for ten weeks during the summer of 2026
  • Ability to multi-task and pivot to new projects, as needed
  • Willing to take initiative within a team environment
  • Maintain accountability for completion of independent work
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and/or Teams
  • Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and operate with a sense of professionalism
