SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-focused Quality Control Inspector to join our quality team. In this role, the QC Inspector will perform dimensional inspection on manufactured parts/materials following applicable drawings, blueprints, and Purchase Order requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Perform visual inspections to detect obvious defects in parts and materials.

  • Select and utilize appropriate inspection tools and equipment based on part/material requirements.

  • Verify and approve parts/materials prior to release for inventory or production use.

  • Identify nonconforming items, document findings on Nonconformance Report (NCR), and route through the Material Review Board (MRB) for disposition.

  • Accurately record inspection results on designated controlled documents.

  • Communicate quality concerns and inspection outcomes to the Quality Control Supervisor.

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date inspection records.

  • Assign and manage NCR numbers across all departments.

  • Notify production teams regarding nonconforming products to ensure timely corrective action.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.

  • Three years' minimum experience in the use of precision measuring equipment.

  • Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong attention to Detail

  • Analytical skills required for assessing quality issues and data.

  • Problem-solving skills are needed to identify and address quality problems.

  • Communication skills needed to report findings and collaborate with teams.

  • Technical skills with tools likemicrometers,calipers,and inspection equipment.

  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and product-specific standards is essential.

  • Typical machine shop environment including exposure to sharp edges, pinch points, powered rotating equipment, shavings, chips, dust, fumes, chemicals and noise. Safety glasses with side shields and steel toed boots/shoes required to be worn at all times. Face shield when required.
