Position Summary

Advise Department of Media, Culture, and Communication's undergraduate students on academic, career, and personal matters. Develop and deliver innovative, dynamic student services and special events, seminars, and workshops to meet the ongoing needs of students. Lead new student seminar for first year students and assist with departmental social media accounts.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Higher Education, Counseling or related field

Required Experience:
2+ years experience advising and counseling students at the college or university level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars. Knowledge of standard office software.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $79,200.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
