Job Description

The Lead Financial Analyst will lead large-scale enterprise projects to support us by developing and enhancing and new processes to manage performance and support decision-making. You will be a critical partner supporting the executive leadership within Rockwell Automation's global departments, leading the financial planning processes, interpreting financial performance to provide relevant insights, and optimizing investment allocation to drive profitable share gains You will work with the Global Analysis & Insights (GA&I) team and collaboratively across FP&A to support ongoing transformation within Finance. You will report to our Director FP&A.

Your Responsibilities:

Enterprise Projects

  • Develop and implement ongoing improvements within the enterprise Return on Investment (ROI) initiative.
  • Drive coordination, accountability, and an overall comprehensive end-to-end process for us to more prioritize, execute, and track the performance of strategic investments.
  • Be involved in other company and finance projects to support us in delivering insights to manage performance and support decision-making.

Business Partner

  • Be a primary partner to Rockwell Automation's global functions (Human Resources, Office of General Counsel, Technology & Innovation, Strategy & Corporate Development, and Finance).
  • Coordinate all forecasting, planning, and reporting for each of the global functions.
  • Communicate targets and ensure AOP and forecasts are loaded accurately and timely.
  • Provide leadership with causals on spend performance, analysis to make investment allocation decisions, and ad hoc analysis to provide a complete picture of financial performance.

Financial Controls

  • Ensure the material accuracy of financial reporting and the proper administration of related internal controls.
  • Ensure that transactions comply with GAAP and Rockwell's financial policies and procedures and resolve any control weaknesses.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires eight years of finance related business experience
  • Experience collaborating across the organization
  • Identify solutions and guide the conversation on financial issues
  • Experience selling ideas and explaining changes
  • Can use systems and tools to resolve complex issues
  • Experience presenting results, and translating systems and financial terminology to different levels of management
  • Experience with vNext, SAP, EPM, or similar applications
  • Project management experience
