About the Role:

As the Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the tax compliance in the US for Wiley's international operations. This includes income taxes, sales and use taxes, withholding taxes, transfer pricing and related matters. Your ability to communicate clearly and confidently will be key, as you'll regularly engage with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.

How you will make an impact:

  • Prepare and review US Federal and State corporate income and indirect tax returns and related filings.
  • Manage the US tax compliance for our international operations and advise on cross-border tax impacts.
  • Assist in the preparation of the U.S. tax provision and support global tax provision processes, including ASC 740, FIN 48, SOX, and FAS 123R compliance.
  • Support corporate federal income tax audits and lead state and local tax audits.
  • Conduct research and calculations related to tax credits and Section 174 expenditures.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's worldwide tax strategies.
  • Integrate tax compliance processes for acquired or divested entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax provisions and filings.
  • Meet annual tax objectives and compliance milestones.
  • Leverage tax technology tools (e.g., OneSource) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current with evolving tax laws, regulations, and best practices.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; master's degree or CPA preferred
  • CPA designation preferred; international equivalent preferred
  • Proven experience working in a multinational corporation environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Experience using Oracle Financials, SAP and Hyperion applications preferred

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
