As a Material Controller I at Worley, you will play an essential role in ensuring the timely availability of materials that support safe, efficient, and sustainable project execution. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to review specifications, manage material requirements, and maintain accurate inventory records. This position contributes directly to Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world by supporting projects that meet today's energy, chemicals, and resource needs while advancing the transition to cleaner solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and product specifications to determine precise material requirements.

  • Document material needs, including relevant codes, specifications, and vendor details, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to adjust material requirements based on existing inventory and project needs.

  • Support the maintenance and operation of materials control systems tailored to customer and project requirements.

  • Ensure traceability and accuracy of all materials documentation and records to meet project and regulatory standards.

  • Assist in monitoring material availability, identifying potential gaps, and escalating issues to maintain project schedules.

  • Provide input to improve material management processes, contributing to Worley's drive for integrated, data-centric solutions.

  • Support junior staff through guidance and task coordination as required.

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all aspects of material control.

Qualifications / Skill Set
  • University degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Practical experience in material control, inventory management, or related fields, preferably within energy, chemicals, or resource projects.

  • Ability to interpret and work with engineering documents, technical drawings, and specifications.

  • Proficiency with material control systems, processes, and digital tools; experience with enterprise resource planning systems is advantageous.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and develop effective working relationships.

  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

  • Commitment to professional development, with the motivation to expand skills and contribute to team success.

  • Awareness of sustainability practices in supply chain and materials management is desirable.
