TRUMPF produces the most efficient, high quality and safe machine tools for sheet metal fabrication. Production runs on a just in time principle which requires the machines to be available at all times for production. The machine maintenance technician is responsible for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control related repairs, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document preventive maintenance tasks including re-ording of supplies

  • Able to read mechanical blueprints, electrical and flid schematics

  • Trouble shoot mechanical issues, align parts and do machine metrology

  • Trouble shoot electrical issues, address wiring problems or faulty components

  • Trouble shoot hydraulic, coolant or cooling circuits and address the issues accordingly

  • Manage spare parts ordering stock keeping and maintaining spare parts

  • Contact machine manufacturer as needed for trouble shooting or scheduling repairs if not possible to self-perform

  • Document issues that have occurred with solutions that were applied

Experience

  • Multiple years of related experience in machine repair is strongly preferred. Must have a strong mechanical background with knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics. Knowledge of motor controls and PLC programing is a must.
