Job Description

* Perform a variety of responsible & complex duties with minimal supervision
* Research the necessary information to post patient & insurance payments per contract & guidelines
* Identify problems & trends, provide examples & also recommend solutions
* Balance electronic payment files
* Assist with cashiering duties as needed
* Make phone calls to insurance when appropriate
* Complete all job responsibilities following written procedures
* Complete various projects or assignments as assigned by Supervisor
* Other duties as assigned
* This position is eligible for University Physicians Work From Home program.

Shift

Shift Type: 8 am - 5 pm M-F
Office/Administrative Hours: No - Position will not have Office/Admin Hours
Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: Yes

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Two (2) years of clerical experience; education may be used in lieu of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in patient accounts, medical office, or bookkeeping.

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring
department.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $16.68 - $26.31/hour
Grade: PAT-005
