*Job Title: Aerial Lineman - Fiber Optic Installation*
*Location:* Various project sites (Travel Required - Per Diem Provided) *Reports To:* Fiber Construction Supervisor / Manager *Employment Type:* Full-Time *Position Overview:* We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious *Aerial Lineman *to join our fiber construction team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial fiber optic infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working at heights, operating aerial equipment, and adhering to industry safety standards. *Key Responsibilities:* *Aerial Fiber Installation* * Install and secure fiber optic cables in aerial environments. * Set poles, anchors, and guys; perform strand placement and cable lashing. * Assist with aerial splicing and termination of fiber optic cables. *Equipment Operation* * Safely operate bucket trucks, aerial lifts, ladders, and climbing gear. * Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks. *Safety and Compliance* * Follow OSHA, NESC, and company safety protocols. * Attend daily safety meetings and consistently use PPE. *Site Management* * Implement traffic control measures at job sites. * Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas. *Troubleshooting and Maintenance* * Diagnose and repair aerial fiber issues. * Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure network reliability. *Documentation and Communication* * Accurately record job progress, equipment usage, and safety logs. * Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients. *Qualifications:* *Education & Experience* * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Associate's degree or trade certification in telecommunications preferred. * Minimum 2 years of experience in aerial fiber optic installation. * Valid driver's license required; CDL Class A or B strongly preferred. * Must pass BG check, drug screening, motor vehicle check, and DOT physical. *Preferred Certifications* * Bucket truck and aerial lift operation * Pole climbing * OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety * First Aid/CPR *Technical Skills* * Proficient in aerial fiber installation, pole framing, cable lashing, and anchoring. * Ability to read construction drawings and fiber installation plans. * Familiarity with NESC and TIA standards. * Comfortable using digital tools (smartphones, tablets, laptops) for documentation. *Physical Requirements* * Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks outdoors. * Comfortable working at heights and in varied weather conditions. *Soft Skills* * Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. * Effective verbal and written communication. * Reliable, organized, and team-oriented. *Why Join Us?* * Competitive compensation and per diem for travel * Opportunities for growth and certification * A safety-first culture with supportive leadership *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $41280.00 - $61920.00/yr.
