Summary:

UNC Hospitals Rehabilitation Services is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist I to join our multidisciplinary team at The Center for Rehab Care in Chapel Hill, NC. This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position providing high-quality, evidence-based care for individuals across the neurological spectrum in an outpatient setting.

This opportunity is well-suited for a developing clinician with a strong interest in neurorehabilitation. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in an outpatient neuro setting.

Core Responsibilities

1. Patient Evaluation & Treatment - Conduct evidence-based neurorehabilitation evaluations and implement individualized treatment plans.
2. Functional Progression - Monitor and adapt care to maximize carryover into daily life, mobility, and independence.
3. Patient & Family Education - Provide strategies for exercise adherence, fall prevention, and safe participation in meaningful activities.
4. Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Participate in case conferences and team-based care models.
5. Mentorship & Growth - Support student learning opportunities and engage in professional development.
6. Quality & Documentation - Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.

Work Schedule

• Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Includes some weekend coverage
• Primary location: The Center for Rehab Care - Chapel Hill, NC
• Some travel between UNC outpatient clinics may be required

Other information:
Education Requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
* BLS
Professional Experience Requirements:
* No prior experience required.
