Tecta America East is seeking a Commercial Roofing Draftsman for our Jessup, MD location. The Draftsmen will provide support to the Project Management team, to deliver projects on schedule, within the budget, while providing a high level of customer service. This position will be exposed to every aspect of project management from job hand-off to post job review. It is the intent of this position to train and develop the successful candidate for advancement to future project management roles. Position Functions: Develop project shop drawings and submittal packages based on project manager's directions, manufacturer's requirements, and standard roofing practices. Provide support for multiple Project Managers and their projects at any given time. Maintain submittal logs, manage revisions, and develop and maintain as-built redline drawings. Demonstrate problem-solving skills in resolving issues by coordinating with the project team, interpreting available information, and providing the applicable documents for submission. Attend regular meetings with the internal project team, document project, and delegation ofresponsibilities Requirements: AutoCAD experience and/or training required. Minimum of one (1) year of construction industry or architectural experience Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking,and ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Must have a valid driver's license. Lifting up to 50 pounds and comfortable visiting project job sites, including accessing roofs.
