Executive Service ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSISTANT 5 Department of Safety and Homeland Security Fiscal Services Nashville, TN Salary Range: $4,562 - $5,694 per month Closing Date: 10/19/2025This position is a hybrid role based in Davidson County, requiring in-office attendance at least two days per week. Additional on-site days may be necessary for training, meetings, or other business needs. Compensation is aligned with education, experience, and assessed proficiency in accordance with Department of Human Resources (DOHR) policy. The mission of the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security is to serve, secure, and protect the people of Tennessee. Job Overview: The Admin Services Assistant 5 position in our Fiscal Services division is responsible for overseeing and managing STS billings to ensure accuracy and alignment with budgetary requirements, working closely with vendors, co-workers, and STS to meet departmental billing needs. Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree AND experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) full-time increasingly responsible professional staff administrative experience. Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years. Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in public administration, business administration, or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years. OR Four years of increasingly responsible professional administrative services experience with the State of Tennessee.
