POSITION SUMMARY:

The Enterprise Applications Manager is responsible for the advancement and support of the firm's applications. The Manager oversees the work of the applications team, contracted staff, and vendors to provide consistent excellence in application and database performance and delivery. This position is responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance and support of the firm's applications and for building and supporting custom integrations and workflows. The Enterprise Application Manager makes recommendations on resource needs to ensure the team is equipped to provide the expected level of support and that the firm's applications perform well, meet security requirements, and are in alignment with evolving business requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the projects and day-to-day activities of the Enterprise Applications Team and compliance with the firm's changing procedures.
  • Validate solutions designs, critically assess vendor statements-of-work and oversee the applications lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, practices and associated knowledge transfer plans for applications and software operational support.
  • Make thoughtful, impactful decisions and be able to articulate the rationale to others related to the firm's on-prem-to-cloud strategy; API integrations; disaster recovery planning and response; downtime workflows; security and process automation; and overall service level.
  • Support innovation with new solutions and steady incremental improvements to existing solutions by exploring and introducing technologies and features to meet technical and business needs.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between technical teams and business departments to identify technology challenges and requirements.
  • Provide third-tier support to technical support professionals; engage the appropriate IS teams and supervisors, and external resources/vendors to resolve issues within the firm's Service Level Agreements.
  • Develop and guide team members through coaching, training, work assignments and performance appraisals with minimal input from the Director and other business leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field required.
  • 5 + years of experience in the legal technology industry required.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the firm office with the ability to come into the office 3-4 days per week.

Knowledge Base:

  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server and Desktop technologies and Software, mainstream and legal specific applications, databases, document management and accounting systems.

SALARY

Illinois based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $155,000 - $180,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
New York based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $175,000 - $205,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
Washington, DC based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $165,000 - $193,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
