This leader will optimize operational capabilities, manage complex processes, and spearhead strategic initiatives that directly impact business outcomes. You will partner across functions, lead high-performing onsite and seasonal teams-including global collaboration with India-and ensure best-in-class service delivery in a fast-paced environment. About the Role In this opportunity as Director, Operations, you will:
Operational Leadership * Direct and optimize onsite operations teams, including a full-time team (10-15), seasonal contract workforce (~200), and a traveling team from India (10-15). * Oversee site performance, budgets, and operational metrics to meet business targets. * Champion operational excellence through best practices and continuous improvement. * Ensure compliance with operational policies, controls, and regulatory requirements. Strategic Planning & Execution * Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business goals, customer needs, and cost objectives. * Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver measurable outcomes. Resource & Budget Management * Take full accountability for people, systems, and processes within your area. * Manage budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and address operational challenges. Stakeholder Engagement * Build strong relationships across Operations, Product, Sales, Customer Support, and Technology. * Collaborate effectively with both U.S. and India leadership teams. * Serve as a key business partner to senior executives, influencing decision-making. Team Building & Talent Development * Set clear goals, drive performance management, and foster professional growth through coaching and mentoring. Digital Transformation & Customer Focus * Lead automation, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives. * Maintain a customer-first mindset, ensuring responsiveness and collaboration across functions.
About You You're a fit for the role of Director, Operations if you have the following required qualifications:
Leadership Experience: 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management preferable in tax returns, with a proven track record of managing complex operational processes and leading high-performing teams Strategic & Operational Expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans while maintaining operational excellence, including experience with budget management and cost optimization initiatives Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong experience working across organizational boundaries and functions, with exceptional ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels Project Management Excellence: Proven track record of leading cross-functional project teams and driving process improvement initiatives to achieve measurable business outcomes Communication & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex operational challenges Market & Customer Focus: Experience developing market awareness and understanding customer needs, with ability to translate market insights into operational strategies Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience Additional preferred qualifications include: * Advanced degree (MBA or relevant Master's degree) with focus on operations or business management Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks Knowledge of enterprise software systems and process automation technologies Experience in regulated industries or complex operational environments Professional certifications in project management (PMP) or operations management

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $135,800 - $252,200.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
