Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Accounting Analyst to support our finance and tax operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, sales tax compliance, and effective cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

Sales Tax Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate reconciliation between ERP and Sales Tax systems on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and verify customer exemption certificates to support compliance.
  • Prepare and file timely and accurate sales tax returns for assigned jurisdictions.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries related to sales tax discrepancies and filings.

Financial Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to support financial accuracy.
  • Analyze cost center activity to inform financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Accurately post cash transactions to appropriate accounts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Data Integrity

  • Partner with internal departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of data used in sales tax reporting and financial processes.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and tax software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving
    abilities.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000, eligible 7% annual bonus

The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, but not limited to; the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, location, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
