Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities: Provide care and comfort to injured guests and employees. This care is primarily provided in the Ski Patrol Aid Room; however, occasionally it may be necessary to respond to emergencies elsewhere in the base area or on the mountain. May also assist with advance life support therapies under direction of physician. Also assist with transportation and information needs to family and others accompanying patients to hospital or home. Secondary Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and complete incident reports, as well as coordination of physician statements of treatments and referrals. While on duty, must be available by radio when away from the aid room. Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications - RN license. Technical - None Physical Capabilities - Up to 25 lbs frequently, 100 lbs occasionally and extended periods on feet. Additional - First aid skills including assessment, bandaging, splinting Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent, first aid and avalanche training required. Minimum time in related position - Prior National Ski Patrol experience preferred.
