Returning Staff ONLY Employment Status : Full time or Part time Seasonal Wage Range: $ 19 .00 to $ 28 .00 / hr Minimum Age: 18 Background Check Required: Yes Driver Verification Required: No Position Summary : Ski Patrol members are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of guests on ski slopes. They provide emergency medical care, perform mountain rescues, enforce resort safety policies, and maintain safe skiing conditions by marking hazards and managing avalanche risks. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities :
Secondary Responsibilities :
Specific Job Skills : License/Certifications - Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC), CPR , Level I Avalanche Technical - None Physical Capabilities - Ability to ski at an Expert level in all weather conditions . Ability to lift over 50 lbs with or without help . Additional - deep knowledge of Schweitzer terrain. Education/Related Experience : Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent, first aid and avalanche training required . Minimum time in related position - At least 1 year m edical response experience preferred. Equipment and Safety /Protective Equipment Used : Will need to wear appropriate PPE for operating snowmobiles in winter conditions as well as helmets while skiing on the clock. |
