Job Description

RRD has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor for our Houston, TX facility!

*The hours of this position are M-F 3:30pm-11:30pm with occasional Saturdays to meet production needs*

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is primarily responsible for the effective and efficient running of the assembly operations and the management of the personnel, ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met and exceeded in a cost-effective manner. He/She will have overall responsibility formeasuring productivity and efficiency at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the activities of assigned employees to ensure accurate communications and seamless operations within the company across shifts and departments and with vendors.
  • Schedule of production - Juggle staffing for all customers based on business needs to ensure orders complete by the due dates.
  • ISO - 13485 & 9001 responsibilities includingsupport documentation for all of production, writingprocesses, makingupdates & changes to processes and responsible for training.
  • Participate in audits.
  • Fully support and practice appropriate safety and EHS programs/requirements daily, including assuring the maintenance of excellent housekeeping practices are followed
  • Achieves a high level of employee efficiency and morale through leadership.
  • Effectively plans, assigns tasks, and schedules workflow through the department and modifies schedules as needed in accordance with business needs.
  • Monitors productivity and performance standards, plans and directs workflow and project assignments.
  • Ensures that departmental goals, including safety, quality, continuous improvement, and KPIs are established and met.
  • Administers policies and procedures and recommends changes as necessary.
  • Selects and recommends candidates for hire, promotion, recognition, disciplinary action, and/or termination keeping appropriate documentation.
  • Provides effciency reporting and analysis to management.
  • Troubleshoots processes when necessary. Works with team members to resolve, and request other resources as necessary.
  • Work with other members of Management to create the appropriate training material to facilitate the continual growth of assigned employees.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers to ensure that all production requirements, schedules, quality, and final deliveries of our products are satisfactory
  • Perform Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least one year of leadership exposure.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated environment is strongly preferred.
  • Green Belt Certified is a huge plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage people and direct work activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Knowledge of Windows applications; Microsoft Office products, Google Suite and database systems.
  • Adapt with basic mathematical calculations and preparing written operational reports
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated comfort and ability to learn and leverage new systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively approach problems and drive for results.

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $67,800 to $105,800 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future.At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
