OverviewThe Azure Compute and Efficiency Services team is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager with experience in developing advanced hardware platforms to support the latest virtual machine offerings. This role involves working with a wide range of technical experts to lead high-impact server hardware programs from initial concept through global deployment. You will collaborate with teams across product management, hardware and software engineering, supply chain, finance, and other functions to define requirements, resolve challenges, and deliver meaningful results.Our server hardware platforms form the backbone of Microsoft Azure, powering millions of workloads for both internal and external customers. ResponsibilitiesTranslate product requirements into hardware requirements like security, quality, performance, features, schedule and cost to develop best in class hardware platformsPartner with software and hardware teams to design complex technical solutions across feature areas and make data-driven recommendations based on identified risks.Define success criteria and create relationships for implementing multiple feature areas for highly complex cross-functional projects while ensuring alignment across the business.Build a working knowledge of the Azure infrastructure to analyze design option impacts |
