Title : Senior Automation Engineer

Location: Chantilly, VA - Hybrid (DMV area preferred) - 3 days onsite per week (see Type below)

Relocation: Open to non-DMV candidates willing to relocate by early next year

Type: Full-Time (Hybrid, transitioning to full onsite in 2026)

Department: Quality Center of Excellence (QCOE)

Reports To: QA/Test Manager or QCOE Lead

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Tricentis Tosca to join our QCOE team. You will be responsible for building test automation frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and enabling scalable, end-to-end validation across APIs, databases, UI, and batch processes.

This position is hybrid (3 days onsite/week) with the expectation to transition to a full onsite role in the DMV area in early 2026. Candidates currently outside the DMV will be considered if open to relocation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and implement modular, reusable automation frameworks using Tricentis Tosca

* Integrate Tosca test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)

* Perform API testing and connect to backend data sources for validation and transformation checks

* Automate end-to-end testing of enterprise applications including ERP, web, and batch jobs

* Develop and manage custom Tosca modules, templates, and execution lists

* Troubleshoot test failures, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement

* Collaborate with developers, QA leads, and DevOps engineers to ensure test coverage and maintainability

* Mentor junior team members and support knowledge-sharing across projects

* Train business users on Tricentis Tosca

Required Skills & Experience:

* 5+ years in test automation roles, with deep expertise in enterprise systems

* 3+ years hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca, including API, DB, and UI testing

* Experience building CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation into delivery workflows

* Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Java, C#, or PowerShell

* Experience connecting to SQL/Oracle databases, performing joins, validations, and reconciliation

* Familiarity with test data management and environment configurations

* Clear understanding of test automation strategy and best practices

* Experience in training non-technical personnel on automation testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Tricentis Tosca certifications

* Experience with Tosca Commander, Tosca Server, DEX/E2G agents

* Knowledge of Jira, qTest, or other test management tools

* Prior experience in a QCOE or enterprise testing leadership role
