Description

Systems Engineer - Mission-Critical Innovation Starts Here

Are you ready to engineer systems that power national security and drive technological excellence? We're looking for a sharp, driven Systems Engineer who thrives in complexity and is passionate about building secure, high-performance systems that matter. In this role, you'll lead the full lifecycle of system development-from concept to deployment-ensuring every component meets rigorous operational and customer standards.

This is more than a job. It's a chance to shape the future of secure infrastructure and make a tangible impact across enterprise and classified environments.

What You'll Do

  • Architect, administer, and optimize secure networks for enterprise and classified domains.
  • Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with security frameworks like DISA STIGs and RMF.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver resilient, high-availability solutions.
  • Automate network operations using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting tools.
  • Drive technical planning and system design across hardware, software, and network layers.
  • Execute seamless system integration, validation, and deployment in real-world environments.
  • Analyze trade-offs in cost, risk, and supportability to maximize system performance.
  • Lead requirements analysis, functional decomposition, and timeline forecasting.
  • Define interfaces and conduct trade studies to align subsystems into cohesive architectures.
  • Manage technical execution to meet performance, quality, and delivery benchmarks.
  • Support rigorous testing, quality assurance, and configuration management throughout development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance - non-negotiable.
  • Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 6+ years. Equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Deep expertise in network security and compliance.
  • 8570 compliant, ideally with CompTIA Security+ CE or higher.
  • Proven success in designing, integrating, and fielding complex systems across hardware, software, and networks.
  • Strong command of requirements analysis, interface definition, trade studies, and timeline analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with system testing, verification, and quality assurance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or undefined technical scenarios.
  • Solid understanding of systems integration and troubleshooting in complex architectures.
  • Clear, confident communicator with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Systems Engineering principles (e.g., INCOSE standards).
  • Experience with modeling and design tools like SysML, Cameo, IBM DOORS.
  • Cybersecurity expertise in system design and risk management.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting for validation.
  • Background supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
  • Strong skills in network hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication abilities.
  • Broad systems knowledge across hardware, software, and networking disciplines.

Come break things (in a good way). Then build them smarter.

We're the tech company everyone calls when things get weird. We don't wear capes (they're a safety hazard), but we do solve high-stakes problems with code, caffeine, and a healthy disregard for "how it's always been done."
