Armed Security Officer - Morning Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a strong, visible presence at a government location. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding our core values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter undesirable activity.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide a sense of security-related assurance to staff and visitors.
• Follow all protocols for armed patrol as required by the post profile and site-specific guidelines.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and other security-related events as directed.
• Collaborate with site personnel, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role.
• Possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
