Production Assembler 2

Position Summary/Essential Functions:

Works under general supervision and is responsible for work output. On a production basis, performs medium electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. Semi-repetitive to repetitive-type work. May make simple decisions but must generally follow well established precedents.

Responsibilities:

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good understanding of ESD controls, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques, as well as handling of classified assemblies.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
* Intermediate spool wrapping, cable handling and testing techniques.
* Intermediate cable harness and PCB assembly techniques.
* Intermediate mechanical assembly of small parts and good understanding of torque requirements.
* Intermediate fiber optic terminations, polishing and testing.
* Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions.
* High voltage potting and high voltage testing

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) or more years of related electronics assembly experience. J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
  • The company must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.

  • Ability to apply commonsense to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • This position may interact with other departments within the Company, such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering. The position requires strong cooperative teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently.

  • Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, up to 12kv Hypot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns and common hand tools.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, New York, Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $18.9/hr to $31.5/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
