CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team in Albany, NY, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial insights and supporting strategic initiatives. This is your opportunity to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact on how our teams operate and succeed.



What You'll Do:

    Perform detailed cost and financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Assist with annual budget and forecasting processes
  • Collaborate with independent auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements
  • Support budget activity, expense coding, document preparation, and analyzing budget overruns and budget adherence
  • Lead and participate in financial integration efforts for M&A targets


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience required
  • Experience in the consulting or engineering industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with budgets
  • Experience with contract and/or FAR audits and regulatory requirements preferred
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized, reliable, and able to meet critical business deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $85,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
