This Position reports to:

Production Manager

ABB Electrification is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Florence, SC. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and updating technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.

Your Role:

  • Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.
  • Work with drawings, sketches and other written or verbal instructions, etc. keeping necessary records
  • Defining maintenance plans for new production lines, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.
  • Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
  • Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
  • Support equipment installations, retrofits and upgrades to include vendors and contractors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help reduce costs of operations through PM optimization.
  • Dismantles, cleans, repairs and tests electrical, electronic and mechanical components to determine component-level failure

Qualifications:

*Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States *4-year degree in electronics, electrical or equivalent with 5-years' experience, or 2-year degree with 7 years' experience, or High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of experience. Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments. *Understanding of and adherence to safe work practices. *Ability to read electrical diagrams. *Experience in troubleshooting electrical issues. *Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams. *Ability to demonstrate knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
