What to Expect
Tesla's Global Risk Management and Insurance Team oversees the company's corporate insurance, risk management, and surety programs across all business components. Reporting to the Senior Risk & Insurance Manager, the Senior Insurance Claims Specialist will manage insurance and surety-related claims, oversee third-party administrators (loss adjusters), assist in claims-related litigation and arbitrations, and support the broader needs of the Risk and Insurance Group as they arise. What You'll Do
- Review incident submissions and report on domestic insurance, surety, and captive/self-insurance claims
- Manage the entire claim lifecycle, ensuring timely reporting and assignments to third-party adjusters
- Supervise claim activity, collaborating with TPAs, insurers, and legal counsel for effective and timely resolutions
- Maintain claim management in line with company standards, legal requirements, and internal controls
- Assess liability, damages, and settlement recommendations, approving payments within authority limits
- Conduct regular reviews with TPAs and carriers to assess performance, adjust reserves, and identify improvement areas
- Analyze loss trends and claim data to uncover patterns, root causes, and opportunities for risk mitigation
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of auto and general liability claims experience in corporate risk management, insurance company, or insurance broker environment
- Expert knowledge of claims processes, commercial insurance, insurance contract language, and surety
- Demonstrated experience with large, multinational insurance programs
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload while meeting required goals and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with insurance and non-insurance professionals
- Ability to develop strategic relationships and work collaboratively domestically and internationally, with proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in the automobile, transportation and logistics, renewable energy industry, and construction insurances strongly preferred

Expected Compensation
$60,000 - $132,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
