Job Summary

Serves as the primary contact for the ticket office for both customers and internal constituents and is responsible for all ticket events involving the university's athletic program. Oversees student staff operations, and inbound/outbound sales staff; services season tickets and group ticket accounts; prepares reports; interacts with external ticketing system.

  • Manages all phases of ticket operations and sales including independent contractors, distribution of tickets, implementation of sales strategies, and accounting for athletic and special departmental events. Provides high quality customer service by responding promptly, efficiently, and thoroughly to customer requests.
  • Collaborates with members of ticket operations staff with regards to the development, execution and maintenance of multi-faceted planning calendar intended to increase ticket sales and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Serves as a subject matter in the functional knowledge and implementation of the Technotic Sports computer system software and hardware. Serves as liaison between athletic department units and Technotic Sports systems by advising units of enhancements, promoting enhancements requested by units and advising units of Technotic Sports news. Represents athletic department at annual user's meeting. Conducts periodic training sessions on Technotic Sports system for all units. Implements software updates, oversee hardware-maintenance and coordinates continuous training sessions as needed.
  • Manages all online ticket operations.
  • Maintains confidentiality for the department. Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity any matter pertaining to academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletic Department.
  • Adhere to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Operations. Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations.
  • Handles sensitive cardholder information and/or processes credit cards transactions for the department/unit
  • Serves as the merchant account's primary contact. Handles sensitive cardholder information and/or processes credit cards transactions for the department/unit.
  • Handles cash/gift card transactions on a daily basis
  • Designs, orders, and distributes ticket inventory for all athletic events in accordance with established guidelines. Verifies tickets for accuracy of information and quality. Responsible for game day ticket operations for all athletic events. Assists with event management for all athletic events. Distributes student-athlete guest tickets at football games, post season competition and the Conference USA tournament in compliance with NCAA guidelines. Oversees the same distribution at home events.
  • Oversees priority seating guidelines for donors in conjunction with the Panther Club staff and is held responsible for its implementation.
  • Prepares and monitors the operational budget for the Ticket Sales Office. Calculates and reports all financial data related to ticket revenues, game settlement statements, and audits for all athletic events to the Athletics Business Manager. Provides revenue projections on ticket related events for incorporation into overall athletic department budget.
  • Schedules mailings and printing times to promote timely collection of receipts and distribution of tickets.
  • Develops ticket office policies and procedures manual which includes a strong segment on customer service and shares the philosophies of the athletic department as to how business is to be conducted.
  • Represents the department at University, NCAA or other national meetings as necessary or as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
  • Provides leadership, training, and supervision of ticket sales staff as well as development of continuing education program for sales staff in areas of customer service and effective sales methods.
  • Develops and participates in all sales efforts intended to generate new sales and renewals both on campus and within local community. Oversees creation and implementation of specific packages designed to solicit new season, single game and group sales buyers for all ticketed events.
  • Performs other duties include, as needed, assisting with game day operations at athletic events, representing department amongst local area groups in an effort to increase visibility and assisting in other duties and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Director. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
  • Handles sensitive cardholder information and/or processes credit cards transactions for the department/unit
  • Oversee and manage ticket operations for third-party, external, and non-athletics events hosted within Athletics facilities, including events held through venue rentals.
  • Serve as Primary Liaison for External Clients. Acts as the point of contact for promoters and rental clients, ensuring ticket builds, seating maps, and policies are properly implemented.
  • Customize Ticketing Platforms for Non-Standard Events.
  • Work in collaboration with other departments to support the successful execution of third-party events, ensuring operational readiness and a positive customer experience.
  • Oversee financial tracking, reconciliation, and reporting for external events to ensure accurate post-event settlement and alignment with University and departmental policies.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of experience or Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience.
