The Primera Systems Application Engineer will possess a deep understanding of subsea production environments and the ability to own the technical application lifecycle for ESP deployments in challenging offshore conditions. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical authority, ensuring optimal design, integration, and performance of ESP systems within subsea architectures.

As a Primera Systems Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical expertise in subsea and deepwater Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems, developing solutions for configuration, performance estimation, and economic analysis during the pre-ITO (Inquiry-to-Order) phase while collaborating with the commercial team.
  • Designing high-complexity ESP systems using proven technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Possessing a deep understanding of ESP system architecture.
  • Possessing a deep understanding of subsea and deepwater production markets and customer economic drivers to support winning bid strategies.
  • Conducting ITO technical analysis, including:
  • Assessing client needs and defining optimized product solutions.
  • Developing scope descriptions, schedules, and cost estimates in compliance with contract terms and internal policies.
  • Preparing documentation of technical specifications and costing elements for subsequent contract execution phases.
  • Supporting OTR (Order-to-Remittance) activities by customizing ESP products and implementing solutions tailored to specific customer requirements.
  • Communicating effectively across the organization, presenting technical solutions to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Developing cross-technology solutions by connecting technologies and collaborating on cross-functional projects to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements impacting subsea ESP applications.

    Fuel your passion

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
    • Have a minimum of 10 additional years of experience in Customer Application Engineering.
    • Have a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Subsea and/or Deepwater ESP Applications Engineering.
    • Experience in Artificial Lift Systems market in a Sales, Applications, or Service Delivery function.
