PA/NP - Adult Kidney Transplant - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Corewell Health West is launching a new Adult Kidney Transplant Program and seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a program from the ground up and play a key role in delivering exceptional care across the full transplant continuum.

As part of our multidisciplinary transplant team, you will work closely with our Medical Director and collaborate with nephrologists, surgeons, and other transplant APPs. This position offers a unique chance to develop expertise in kidney and solid organ transplantation. The position will function both inpatient and ambulatory, involving the medical management of adult kidney transplant patients and candidates.

An ideal candidate would have a strong background in internal medicine, possess strong clinical decision-making skills, adaptability, and willingness to learn. An individual recruited to this position will receive thorough onboarding and mentorship with our nephrology colleagues to ensure they're successful.

Qualifications

Physician Assistant:

  • Required Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
  • LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan
  • CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • CRT- Life Support BLS& ACLS

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master's, post-master's or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
  • 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience
  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role as a Nurse Practitioner
  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan
  • CRT- Life Support BLS& ACLS
