Position Overview

Multi-discipline design firm in Middle Tennessee is seeking a licensed and experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team. The position involves leading design efforts, managing projects, coordinating with clients and consultants, supporting team members, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently lead and oversee all phases of the engineering process, from preliminary design to construction administration and project close-out.
• Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, and other standard documents.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Assist other team members to achieve company goals.
• Communicate with and coordinate work with staff, consultants, clients, and contractors. • Ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Conduct site visits during construction to monitor progress and ascertain compliance with contract documents.

Qualifications

• Education: Batchelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.
• Licensed in the State of Tennessee
• Proficiency in design software such as Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Experience in the design of storm sewer systems, water and sewer utility systems, roadways, commercial and industrial sites, subdivisions, and pedestrian facilities.
• Structural design experience is a plus but not required.
