CHAIR AND CLINICAL ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, FINANCE AND TAXATION The NYU School of Professional Studies seeks a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Financial Planning and Chair of the Finance and Taxation Department of the Division of Programs in Business. The Chair will oversee the Finance and Taxation department and will participate in setting the strategic direction for the vertical and coordinate graduate and continuing education portfolios. This includes establishing academic partnerships with external stakeholders, overseeing a portfolio of tax conferences and events that include industry professionals to enhance student learning and/or career opportunities, participating in fundraising efforts and securing scholarships. Additionally, the Chair will teach within the Financial Planning graduate program. Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Division of Programs in Business, the Chair will collaborate with the Assistant Dean; supervise the faculty and administrative teams of the department; and oversee all administration of departmental academic operations including course scheduling and syllabi management. This full-time position is a nine-month appointment with a two-year renewable faculty contract; the Chair role is an annual, twelve-month administrative appointment that runs concurrent with the faculty role. The rank of the position is dependent upon experience and qualifications. In compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act, the annual base faculty salary range for this position is $100,000-$160,000. The range for the annual administrative stipend is $20,000-$40,000.
