Job Description

Summary: Responsible for the overall execution of the manufacturing plan. Works with clients and internal resources to provide the fabrication and delivery of products. Manages a team of supervisors to guarantee product fabrication and delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties, including, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall planning of production to meet forecast requirements on scheduled deliveries and to ensure maximum utilization of plant personnel and facilities.
  • Responsible for the development of manufacturing operating effectiveness required to ensure the continuing effective operation of manufacturing facilities.
  • Defines and recommends manufacturing objectives; develops specific short-term and long-range plans and programs together with supporting budget requests and financial statements.
  • Responsible for the manufacture of all company products at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality, quantity, and schedules.
  • Ensures prompt and economical purchase of required materials and supplies and delivery of finished products to customers.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the inventories of semi-finished and finished products at proper levels, both as to quantity and value, consistent with the budgets and forecasts.
  • Directs preparation of progress reports, manpower and facilities requirements forecasts.
  • Responsible for installation and maintenance of all processing equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Develops and recommends manufacturing policy and establishes Manufacturing Department's operating policies.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
  • Formulates and installs standard practices based on comparative studies of methods, costs and production figures.
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
  • Other duties with the work as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or related discipline and a minimum of 10 (ten) years diversified and progressively responsible experience in medium-sized or major metal shops and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 (five) years in a supervisory capacity with 2 (two) years of experience leveled directly under the General Manager (preferred)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in industrial leadership and in planning, layout and production of complex metal trade shop operations.
