The Central Transporter services the entire hospital, providing safe, efficient and effective transportation of patients, medical equipment and/or supplies.



  • Continuously on-call enabling rapid response to customer needs, and allowing direct care services to be provided in a timely manner
  • Transports patients throughout the hospital in a manner that maximizes patient comfort, privacy and safety.
  • Responsible for transporting supplies, medication, and equipment. Obtains linen and oxygen tanks to be used for patient transport


Hours:

Full Time, 40hrs per week

Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to read and follow directions and complete basic forms
  • 1 year experience in a health care setting providing services to patients is preferred
  • Required to manage the functions in the transporter menu of Meditech (pull up master schedule, use email, and use of nurse call)


Salary Range: Minimum 16.25/hour - Maximum 18.78/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
