Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patient Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone you encounter. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff by providing directions and information as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and incident reporting.
  • Support healthcare staff during emergencies and/or drills by following established procedures and providing guidance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
