About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, high-impact communications leader who thrives at the intersection of business transformation, executive communications, and storytelling. This role is designed for an individual who can distill complexity into clarity, build trust with senior leaders, and help shape the company's internal narrative during a pivotal moment in its evolution. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that support the company's extensive supply chain operations and critical enterprise initiatives related to product lifecycle and market delivery. Your work will ensure clear, consistent messaging across all levels of the organization and with external partners, enhancing understanding and engagement with vital operational initiatives. This is an opportunity to lead, innovate, and collaborate across diverse functions, directly contributing to the company's strategic goals and operational excellence.

What You'll Do



  • Develop and implement a strategic communications plan aligned with the company's supply chain and business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify key messages and communication priorities.
  • Create and manage internal communication programs to keep employees informed about supply chain developments, initiatives, and changes.
  • Partner across the enterprise with leaders in product, sourcing, merchandising, operations, technology, and change management to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Work with enterprise Change Management and HR teams to deliver communications that guide employees through transformation and adoption processes.
  • Develop compelling content for internal newsletters, intranet sites, emails, presentations, and various other communication channels.
  • Oversee external communications related to the supply chain, including press releases, media relations, social media content, and stakeholder communications.
  • Build strong relationships with key media outlets to promote positive coverage of the company's supply chain efforts.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts related to supply chain disruptions or issues, developing contingency plans and ensuring timely dissemination of information during critical situations.
  • Engage effectively with diverse stakeholders including suppliers, logistics partners, regulatory bodies, and community organizations.
  • Ensure transparent communication practices that build trust and credibility across all interactions.
  • Produce high-quality written materials, such as speeches for executives, talking points for media interviews, blog posts, and white papers on industry trends affecting the supply chain.
  • Establish robust metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide regular reports on communication activities' impact on business goals.
  • Lead and develop a team of communications professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.


Must-Haves:



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications.
  • A proven track record in developing and executing successful strategic communications plans.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing crisis communications and sensitive issues effectively.
  • Ability to build strong, influential relationships with senior leaders, media, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with digital and social media communications strategies and platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding and developing communications professionals.
  • An analytical mindset with practical experience in measuring communication effectiveness and impact.


Nice-to-Haves:



  • Experience preferably within the retail or supply chain sectors.
