Summary:

Responsible for assisting, coordinating and supporting all aspects of day-to-day activities of the Alternative Energy Group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with members of the Alternative Energy Group to assist all aspects of commercial development of alternative energy projects.
  • Provide support for the Alternative Energy Group's interactions across other relevant divisions within the company - including Investor Relations, Public Relations, Govt Relations, and Environmental compliance.
  • Support cross-department company-wide initiatives to track carbon emissions on a facility-by-facility basis for both commercial development and regulatory compliance purposes.
  • Work closely with GIS - Mapping Group to develop maps for alternative energy group projects.
  • Work closely with contract administration and Gathering & Processing commercial personnel to review and synthesize provisions in contracts with Energy Transfer's customers relating to carbon capture and other alternative energy business
  • Create Power Point Presentations for business development purposes as well as for internal company use.
  • Conduct initial screening of unsolicited 3rd party project proposals to the Alternative Energy Group.
  • Monitor, track and update the Alternative Energy Group regarding regulatory and legislative developments relating to Alternative Energy projects.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to conduct detailed and thorough analysis and present to senior leadership.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a collaborative team/cross-functional Alternative Energy projects.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Associate Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
