Overview
Apogee has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Specialist in Support of the United States Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC), Military Communications (MilComm), and Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) Directorate. As an Acquisition Analyst, you will provide a broad range of acquisition capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, operation, and maintenance, and lifecycle acquisition activities ****Contingent Upon Contract Award and will be located at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA****
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for Human Resources, Personnel, and Administrative support across assigned 3-letter and 4-letter organizations, including direct support to the PEO Front Office.
- Oversee non-inherently governmental actions and provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR and administrative processes.
- Coordinate routinely with Mission Services (SSC/CGO) and provide technical consultation on personnel and administrative matters.
- Manage senior leadership calendars, office battle rhythm, and event synchronization using Microsoft Office Suite tools.
- Monitor and process all incoming tasks from email and Task Management Tools, ensuring timely review, coordination, dissemination, and completion.
- Support personnel-related task management, including performance reports, feedback, promotion recommendations, awards, training actions, and Director's Action Group taskers.
- Review, edit, and route staff packages for Office Chief approval prior to submission to SSC/CGO.
- Serve as Records Custodian, maintaining file plans in AFRIMS and coordinating with the Functional Area Records Manager to correct discrepancies and support SAVs.
- Support personnel database actions, including adding/removing employees and assisting Government timekeepers with Automated Time Attendance and Production System updates.
- Provide administrative services such as preparing reports/briefings, managing conference rooms, scheduling meetings, maintaining staff slides, answering phones, and supporting employee in/out-processing.
- Track and update recall rosters, mail distribution, and personnel action status for civilian and military members.
- Participate in Government-directed OSS functional meetings and weekly tag-ups as required.
- Serve as Travel Clerk for Defense Travel System (DTS) operations, including booking travel, preparing itineraries, processing vouchers, and updating traveler profiles.
- Research and interpret Joint Travel Regulations, summarize travel policy changes, and disseminate updates to DTS users while safeguarding Privacy Act and DoD-protected information.
- Identify and report DTS system issues to the ODTA within required timelines, assist travelers with GTC/CSA issues, provide travel-related training, maintain monthly DTS reconciliations, and document all travel-support activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance. Education: High School Diploma Years of Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience to include:
- Experience providing human resources support and workforce planning across the organization
- Experience with DTS, travel vouchers, and itinerary prep
- Experience with the oversight of non-inherently governmental actions, and provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR and administrative processes
Preferred Experience: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 10 years' experience in acquisition program/project management and strategic planning Additional Information Location: Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA On-site/Hybrid/Remote: On-Site Travel: 10%
Pay Range
USD $133,936.00 - USD $173,329.00 /Yr.
