Overview
Apogee has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Specialist in Support of the United States Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC), Military Communications (MilComm), and Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) Directorate. As an Acquisition Analyst, you will provide a broad range of acquisition capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, operation, and maintenance, and lifecycle acquisition activities ****Contingent Upon Contract Award and will be located at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA****
Responsibilities
Provide support to the PEO's strategic planning efforts by providing engineering, technical, architecture, and acquisition support to Government decisions and how the decision impacts the vision, mission, goals, commitments, and initiatives (referred to as the Strategic Plan) of the Directorate.
- Develop, publish, garner Government approval, and maintain the Directorate Strategic Plan.
- Support Directorate Strategic Planning through analysis of defense planning guidance, HQ USSF, and HQ USAF policies and directives.
- Ensure consistency with guidance in the development of critical Directorate-wide strategic planning products, guidance, analysis, reviews, and senior leadership recommendations. Key strategic planning products requiring Contractor support shall include the Directorate 20-yr Strategic Plan, the Directorate Management Plan, the Directorate Strategic Communications Plan, the Directorate Human Capital Strategic Plan, and organizational development/transition/ implementation plans.
- Ensure synchronization/integration of all strategic planning efforts between USSF and Directorate organizations in planning efforts that feed into the POM. Approved strategic planning products shall be used by the Contractor to coordinate the requirements of the Enterprise Master Schedule in support of the Space Enterprise Vision.
- Provide analysis and assessment to ensure a quality product is presented that meets the intent of the tasking.
- Develop a master schedule of all planning activities with detailed timelines, synchronize with HQ USSF and/or HQ USAF to ensure proactive management of the planning process.
- Support and help enforce the governance process where products of their analysis are vetted, and shall provide clear guidance to the Directorate via publication of plans and instructions that define the planning process.
- Provide assessments of future system architecture alternatives and analysis, and recommend Directorate process and methodology improvements to enhance the Strategic Plan.
- Assess and report current and future manpower needs to meet the current and future Directorate Strategic Plan.
- Track and report MilComm & PNT Directorate-wide Strategic Plan goals, commitments, and initiatives on a weekly, monthly, or as directed basis.
- Integrate Directorate Human Capital Investment planning into the MilComm & PNT Directorate Strategic Plan.
- Ensure Strategic Planning efforts and documents are consistent with the MilComm & PNT Directorate's strategic intent and enable efficient and effective strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance. Education: High School Diploma Years of Experience: Minimum of 18 years of experience to include:
- Experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert in acquisition strategic planning
- Experience with future strategic planning and documentation of strategic plan goals and forecasts.
- Experience with the analysis of manpower requirements and needs to meet current and future plans
- Experience developing master schedules of all planning activities with detailed timelines
- Experience supporting strategic planning and future forecast activities
Preferred Experience: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 12 years of experience in acquisition program/project management and strategic planning Additional Information Location: Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA On-site/Hybrid/Remote: On-Site Travel: 10%
Pay Range
USD $185,794.00 - USD $240,440.31 /Yr.
