Job Summary:

Coordinate recruitment, training, supervision, and recognition of volunteers for LSS Refugee Services, including both metro and out-state programs. Create and lead a new family reunification program that will double the number of refugees LSS resettles in the next five years.

Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in social service field or equivalent experience


  • Minimum of 2 years related experience


  • Good public speaking skills and/or experience making presentations


  • Experience in developing and implementing trainings preferred


  • In-depth understanding of policies that affect refugees and resettlement organizations


  • In-depth knowledge of the family reunification process


  • Writing, communication and problem-solving skills


  • Ability to develop reports & correspondence of professional quality


  • Decisions made will require good judgment, discretion, and initiative


  • Be culturally sensitive and able to interact with a variety of people


  • Driver's license and access to a vehicle
