Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: Portsmouth, NH; Jacksonville, FL, Raleigh NC

This position is responsible for providing advanced technical and operational business system support. Performs needs assessments to determine business requirements and implements functional specifications to assigned systems. Ensures that developed solutions support Bank objectives through reporting and analysis activities. May involve elements of system testing or development.


Responsibilities

  • Perform business system analysis associated with change requests, projects, assessments, and production issues
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize requirements for system functionalities, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Map, analyze and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and align with organizational goals
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, including user stories, use cases and process flows
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives
  • Source, compile and analyze data to understand detailed data flows, identify business needs and support decision-making
  • Support the design, configuration and deployment of IT systems to meet business requirements
  • Create and maintain documentation, such as functional specifications, user guides, and process diagrams
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve system related issues, working with IT teams, business partners and vendors as needed.
  • Perform Impact Analysis for Systems Integrations/Interfaces across the enterprise

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 years of professional experience working as a business systems analyst
  • Experience in Banking or Equipment Finance business is preferred
  • Working experience with Salesforce is required
  • Proficiency is eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements using techniques like interviews, workshops and surveys
  • Experience with tools like BPMN, Visio, or Lucidchart to map and optimize business processes
  • Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to analyze and interpret data for decision making
  • Familiar with methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall for project management and system implementation
  • Experience with user acceptance testing, test case development, and ensuring system functionality meets requirements
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and Azure DevOps (ADO) for agile project execution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
