Role:

Supervises revenue auditors in their performance of the audit procedures and compilation of statistical revenue information.

Responsibilities:

Reviews journal entries before posting to the general ledger entries.
Reconciles account balances ensuring that account balances are properly supported by the source information.
Prepares federal and state W2G tax returns.
Prepares a Daily Operating Report.
Supports and maintains all of Hard Rock's policies and procedures.
Audits the accounting and financial data of various departments within the organization to ensure accuracy and compliance with government guidelines and laws.
Research issues and makes recommendations to improve policies and procedures.
Works with outside auditors to help reconcile discrepancies or support the external auditing functions.
Audits daily records of assigned revenue-generating departments to determine compliance with gaming regulations and company and departmental policies and procedures.
Prepares manual and computer accounting records and reports.
Displays courteous and professional image to associated departments and guests.
Supervises the Revenue Auditors.

Prepares adjusting journal entries as necessary to correct errors during posting.
Establishes and/or modifies revenue auditor schedules, trains and evaluates the auditors' job performance.
Identifies improper accounting or documentation.
Maintain knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
Prepares weekly and monthly gaming tax returns.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.
B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc.
C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart? (Examples: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, color vision, etc.)

Qualifications:

High School diploma general education (GED) required.
Experience in Casino Accounting preferred.
Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to use a ten key calculator by touch with considerable accuracy.
Flexibility to handle changing priorities and schedules.
Must possess basic computer skills. Must have knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software and Word Processing Software.
Working knowledge of casino internal controls and systems required.
Must know and comply with requirements of State and Company internal controls and regulations.
A Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit is required for this position.
Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with people. Interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships with operating departments.
Must be very detailed oriented.
Must project a professional and positive image.
Must have a high level of energy
Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.

Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
