Radiochemist - PET Radiopharmaceutical Production

Are you passionate about advancing diagnostic imaging through cutting-edge radiochemistry? Jubilant Radiopharmacies is seeking a Radiochemist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the production of PET radiopharmaceuticals that make a real difference in patient care.

In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in radiochemistry to ensure the safe, timely, and compliant synthesis of PET drug products. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a key part in delivering life-changing diagnostics to healthcare providers.

What You'll Do

  • Operate automated synthesis modules for PET radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Prepare and handle radioactive materials following strict safety protocols.
  • Perform routine and complex radiosynthesis of PET tracers.
  • Maintain and calibrate synthesis and analytical equipment.
  • Conduct analytical testing (HPLC, GC, TLC, pH, endotoxin, sterility).
  • Review and interpret QC data to meet product release criteria.
  • Participate in method validation and instrument qualification.
  • Maintain accurate batch records and documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair synthesis and QC instruments.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and radiation safety standards.
  • Support audits, CAPA investigations, and regulatory submissions.
  • Write and update SOPs, protocols, and technical documentation.
  • Develop Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) sections for submissions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, QA, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations.
  • Mentor and train team members while driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and consumables.
  • Contribute to process optimization to improve yield and efficiency.
  • Support cleanroom environmental monitoring and aseptic compliance.

What We're Looking For

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or related field (required).
  • Master's or PhD in Radiochemistry or related discipline (preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in PET radiopharmaceutical or drug production.
  • Hands-on experience with automated synthesis modules and analytical instruments.
  • Familiarity with GMP, USP <823>, and radiation safety protocols.

Preferred Skills:

  • Authorized user of radioactive materials and/or Radiation Safety Officer experience.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% nationwide.
