The Senior Director, IT - HR Systems plays a pivotal role in shaping how Molex enables its people through technology. From learning and development to workforce management, people data, and future HCM transformation, this leader will partner across HR, Digital, and business teams globally to build an integrated, forward-looking HR technology landscape.

The goal is simple yet ambitious: to create digital experiences that help every Molex employee learn, grow, and contribute their best, while ensuring our systems remain secure, efficient, and aligned to the needs of a dynamic enterprise.

The Senior Director, IT - HR Systems will serve as Molex's enterprise leader for HR technology, responsible for shaping and executing the digital vision for HR systems across learning, workforce management, people data, and broader enablement capabilities. This leader will partner closely with Global HR and business functions to design, integrate, and optimize solutions that elevate Molex's talent experience, data integrity, and operational efficiency. Success in this role requires both strategic vision and hands-on leadership, bridging the needs of HR, Digital, and Molex's deeply engineering-driven culture.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Visualize, describe, and define Molex's global HR technology landscape initially centered on Learning & Development and Time & Attendance systems.
  • Shape a multi-year roadmap that aligns HR business priorities with digital capabilities, driving modernization, integration, and value realization.
  • Establish guiding principles for HR system selection, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Staying up to date on broader Koch learning tool implementations and Aligning Molex architecture to Koch where profitable.
  • Partner with Koch Capabilities IT teams where required to implement and support Molex learning systems enablement (e.g., Koch authentication, system integrations, etc.)
  • Advise L&D on emerging IT capabilities (AI, workflow automation, VR, analytics) that can improve learning delivery.
  • Partner on pilots and proofs-of-concept, ensuring scalability and Digital alignment.
  • Provide recommendations on transitioning pilots into enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Partner with HR and Digital leaders to evolve SuccessFactors capabilities and evaluate the broader HR systems roadmap, including future learning platform strategies.

Partnership & Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary IT business partner to Global Learning & Development, providing guidance on technology enablement, platform strategy, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, HR, and Digital teams to define parameters for acquiring, integrating, and supporting new learning or HR tools.
  • Partner with enterprise capability teams to align profitable, leveraging shared systems, authentication services, and integration frameworks.
  • Engage early in business planning cycles to ensure proactive technological input and alignment with Molex Digital roadmaps.
  • Translate L&D requirements into IT specifications and align with enterprise Digital roadmaps.

Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Lead the governance process for all HR systems, ensuring alignment with Molex's digital standards for cybersecurity, privacy, and procurement.
  • Create clear guidelines for federated HR and L&D teams to evaluate, adopt, and manage digital tools responsibly.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, licensing, renewals, and the thoughtful retirement of legacy systems.
  • Ensure all HR systems and data integrations meet enterprise compliance standards.
  • Thoughtfully collaborate and help manage the addition, or retirement, of new tools into the L&D ecosystem.

HR Data Stewardship & Analytics

  • Ensure HR systems maintain the highest standards of data privacy, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Data teams to develop secure frameworks for people analytics, workforce insights, and reporting.
  • Support data governance practices across HR systems defining data ownership, quality metrics, and retention standards.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders to leverage analytics for organizational planning, learning impact, and workforce optimization.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee IT operations for key HR platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors, LMS, timekeeping, and other HR-related systems).
  • Partner with infrastructure, data, and security teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and resilience across the HR systems ecosystem.
  • Establish clear escalation and support pathways, ensuring global consistency and user satisfaction.
  • Maintain documentation, change management protocols, and transparent communication around upgrades or releases.
  • Manage escalation paths for system outages, access issues, and integration failures.
  • Coordinate Digital support for L&D systems (e.g., LMS, content libraries, AI learning tools).

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to HR leadership on emerging technologies, AI, automation, analytics, and adaptive learning, that enhance the employee experience.
  • Evaluate pilot opportunities and proofs-of-concept, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and value creation.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to measure system adoption, performance, and ROI.
  • Drive simplification and integration to reduce complexity and enhance the end-user experience.

Engineering & Business Context

  • Demonstrate an understanding of engineering and manufacturing environments-appreciating the diverse workforce needs of product designers, engineers, and production teams.
  • Enable technology solutions that help Molex attract, develop, and retain technical talent across global innovation and operations hubs.
  • Align HR systems and processes with Molex's culture of engineering excellence, precision, and continuous improvement.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience with a focus on HR technology strategy and systems delivery.
  • Strong understanding of global HR processes, particularly Learning & Development, Workforce Management, HCM, and HR data governance.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional digital programs within a global matrixed enterprise.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, change leadership, and vendor management.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, LMS systems, and time & attendance tools required.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms and data integration tools.
  • Exposure to engineering or manufacturing organizations preferred, with the ability to connect HR technology to technical workforce needs.
  • Deep alignment with Molex values and a track record of fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Leadership Expectations
  • Act as a connector between HR, Digital, and business units-translating business needs into scalable, secure technology solutions.
  • Inspire teams through vision clarity, operational discipline, and a focus on continuous learning and capability building.

For this role, we anticipate paying $190,000 - $300,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
