Position: Behavioral Health Professional II
Location: Fully Remote, US
Duration: 6 months (potential to extend/convert)
Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Saturday 6a-430 pm. Arizona time
(30-minute unpaid lunch)
Position Purpose
Provide clinical assessments, crisis triage, education, and telephonic behavioral health support. Use established protocols and independent professional judgment while documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Answer inbound behavioral health calls and conduct crisis triage.
Document calls thoroughly using standard software systems.
Provide education to non-licensed staff.
Conduct follow-up calls to support care facilitation.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet members' needs.
Promote recovery concepts, resilience, and hope.
Provide clinical assessments within scope of licensure.
Offer behavioral health education and resource guidance.
Comply with all applicable policies, protocols, and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field.
Active behavioral health license in the state where the candidate resides:
LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LP, LISAC, LAC, LASAC, LMSW
2-4 years of behavioral health experience in:
Crisis intervention
Case management
Intake/assessment
Therapy
Behavioral interventions
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office proficiency.
Strong call documentation and data entry skills.
Must pass DFPS + Texas Fingerprints.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managed care/telephonic counseling
Call center or crisis line experience
Triage experience
Experience working in high-volume BH environments
Training Requirements
Week 1: Mon-Fri, 8a-5p AZ virtual classroom (camera ON)
Weeks 2-4: Flexible schedule; advance notice provided
