Job Summary

Provide high-level leadership and oversight for multiple construction projects, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and quality. Drive project success through effective planning, resource allocation, and team development. Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with contractual and performance objectives. Champion continuous improvement, risk management, and the adoption of innovative construction practices to maximize efficiency and client satisfaction.


Essential Duties

  • Provides strategic leadership, directs, coaches, and develops staff to achieve performance goals and company objectives. Shares technical expertise and experience. Ensures effective training and development of project managers and support staff. Ensures adequate staffing levels for their projects. Conducts timely, complete and meaningful performance management conversations.
  • Develops strategic plans for construction project management activities. Implements and manages plans accordingly. Participates in the project and strategic planning process.
  • Champions pre-job and continuing planning activities (e.g., MISOP, pull planning, scheduling, value mapping, constraints logs, etc.).
  • Develops goals, objectives and monitors project budgets that support assigned projects. Monitors and facilitates monthly project financial reviews, investigates variances, and recommends or adjusts operations using LEAN techniques. Ensures project management teams complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships/agreements with external partners, customers, vendors.
  • Provides leadership and oversight in the contract review process. Reviews and negotiates contract terms and conditions, clauses, schedules or any unusual requirements. Facilitates the resolution of issues with customers, vendors, trades or Partners.
  • Implements and manages the Account Management Program to support business unit objectives. Works with the account manager and the customers to develop their strategic plan to foster growth and drive sales.
  • Ensures adherence to construction processes designed to complete projects safely, with a high standard of quality and expected productivity.
  • Facilitates the resolution of issued with customers, vendors, trades and Partners.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree is required.
  • PMP, PgMP or industry-specific credential is preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Working knowledge of optimization techniques and process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrates business strategy into day-to-day delivery.
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs, on-schedule and within budget.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
