Yard Hostler, Production Control

Shift: 7:00AM - 7:00PM

Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

• Utilizes an industrial tractor to attach and detach trailers, maneuver them into and out of docking areas, lock and seal trailer doors, and move them around the yard
• Follows standardized work processes and instructions
• Conducts routine daily safety inspections of the industrial truck and trailers. Records and reports any maintenance or safety concerns
• Supports trailer and yard audits as needed
• Executes daily responsibilities by adhering to guidelines and established protocols

• Minimum of 1 year tractor/trailerexperience (3 axle tractor, 53' trailer)
• Must be reliable, quality-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong command of English language, both written and verbal, is required
• Ability to stand, walk, climb in and out of tractors frequently, lift up to 50 lbs. daily, manually crank landing gear, and repetitively open and close trailer doors at different heights (4-5 ft.)
• Must endure and safely operate in extreme weather and climate conditions while working outdoors
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is preferred but not required
• Must maintain safe work practices and be adaptable to changing work conditions
